Captain Silver's Ship Shack, Saundersfoot: Brisket That Fell Off the Fork

So I'm back in Saundersfoot, everyone, and I'm at Captain Silver's Ship Shack. Come and sit down with me. I was very excited after all the fun we had just had at the Adventure Golf next door.

The place is on the harbour, inside an incredible ship. It looks very clean and very tidy, I love the decor, and I like the fact they have children's seats in there too.

What we ordered

My son went straight for the chocolate milkshake and absolutely loved every taste of it. I had a Diet Coke.

For food, I went with the beef brisket on a jacket potato, with homemade gravy and cheese on top. It was absolutely divine, and I will say it plainly: that is probably one of the best jackets I have had in a long time. They are so generous on the portions too.

The brisket was falling off my fork. It was that tender. The jacket itself was crispy outside and so soft inside, exactly how I love them.

My son had the chicken fillet nuggets and chips, demolished them, and gave it a massive thumbs up. I tried one myself and it was perfecto.

The service

The service was fantastic throughout and the staff genuinely could not do enough for us. That makes a difference to the whole experience, not just the plate.

The verdict

The food was impeccable, the service was incredible, and the setting on the harbour in that ship is something you will not get anywhere else.
