Memoire Saigon: My First Ever Vietnamese Meal, in Saundersfoot
West Wales' only Vietnamese restaurant. A sharing platter, a signature baguette packed with meat, and a first for me.

I'm off to west Wales' one and only Vietnamese restaurant, everyone. This is Memoire Saigon in Saundersfoot, and I am super excited to share it with you, because this is the first time I have ever eaten Vietnamese food.
Inside
Plenty of seating, lovely decor throughout, and I was greeted by a lovely member of staff. Let me show you the menu quickly, you may want to pause it.

What I had
I started with a Vietnamese coffee. Then the Saigon sharing platter arrived and, oh my gosh, the presentation looked incredible. There is a real variety of things on that platter and it blew my taste buds away.
The spring rolls were excellent, and the Memoire signature baguette tasted absolutely divine. Look how thick the meat is in that. So tasty, and so tender.
The noodles, and the pork and rice, were both delicious. Then mango and tiramisu to finish, which was unbelievable.
Being honest about it
I will be straight with you, because that is the point of these videos. There were things on that platter I was not sure about. I thought one might be a bit fishy, and I do not like seafood or fish at all. It turned out to be rice with pork, and it tasted incredible.
If you are nervous about trying a cuisine you do not know, that is exactly why I am telling you.
The verdict
The service from the moment I stepped foot in there was amazing and the staff could not do enough for me. The food honestly tasted unbelievable and I was consistently blown away.
They do takeaway as well as the restaurant. If you have never been to a Vietnamese restaurant before, you need a visit, because you will simply be blown away.
Consistently blown away. If you have never tried Vietnamese food, this is the place.
