Old Rectory Cakehouse, Milford Haven: A Steakhouse Club on Sourdough
Caramelised onions, peppercorn mayo and a genuinely generous amount of steak, with views across the waterfront.

I'm here on Milford Haven waterfront, everyone, and I am stepping foot into the Old Rectory Cakehouse. Come and join me.
The room
Check out this interior. For me it is done to a very high standard, and that is the first thing that hits you. Look at the selection of homemade cakes as well.
I took a seat with a view across the waterfront and had a Diet Coke, and I am loving the glass it came in. It is a small thing, but small things are what tell you a place cares.

What I had
I went for the Steakhouse Club, served in a sourdough toasty with caramelised onions, peppercorn mayo and cheese.
The salad was so fresh and the coleslaw looked homemade. But the thing that got me was the amount of steak in that sourdough sandwich. Look at it. Look at that onion. There is loads of steak in there and the generosity of it is part of why it works.
It tasted exactly how it looked. Well presented, and absolutely divine.
The verdict
The food was exceptional, the staff could not do enough for you, and I will say again what I love about the place: the decor is to such a high standard.
A massive thank you to the Old Rectory Cakehouse and compliments to the chef. If you have not been, you are missing out. You need to book, because you will not be disappointed.
Exceptional food and a room finished to a really high standard. Book it.
